Buck is a founder and Managing Partner at NorthCurrent Partners, where he is focused on pursuing new investment opportunities and supporting management teams post-investment to drive growth and value creation initiatives. Before launching NorthCurrent, Buck was a Vice President in the LBO Fund of H.I.G. Capital, an investment firm with over $50 billion under management, where Buck concentrated on business services and consumer investments and served on the board of Tastes on the Fly (acquired by the Lagardere Group).
Prior to H.I.G. Capital, Buck was a Director at Burch Creative Capital, a family office, where he focused on growth investments in the technology and consumer sectors and served on the board of Nihi Sumba Resorts.
Buck began his career as an investment banking analyst at JPMorgan, providing advisory services and capital structure solutions to companies across industries.
Buck earned a B.A. in History and Economics from Williams College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar. He was also an early investor in Caviar (acquired by Square (NYSE:SQ)). Buck resides in New York with his wife and son.
